Creative Director
My journey in hairdressing began in 1994 at Cornwall College, where I trained and qualified in 1996. I joined Headhunters as a stylist on a self-employed basis. With dedication and hard work, I became salon manager, running the business while the owner lived abroad, and building a loyal and supportive clientele along the way.
In 2000, I completed my TDLB D32 and D33 Assessor’s Award, enabling me to train and mentor apprentices within the salon. Teaching and supporting new stylists has always been a passion of mine, and I’m proud to have guided many students over the years, some of whom have become good friends.
In 2006, I opened my own salon, Kabuki, in Illogan. With a wonderful team by my side, the salon grew year after year, and in 2012 I moved Kabuki back to Fore Street in Redruth, where we enjoyed a complete refit and added a beauty room to expand our services.
Like many, the pandemic in 2020 was a turning point. With more time to reflect, I realised the importance of balance and how I wanted to shape the next stage of my career.
In 2021, I created a home-based salon that allows me to continue offering a professional, personal service while enjoying a more relaxed work–life balance. I feel so fortunate to have the ongoing support of my wonderful clients, friends, and family, and I’m absolutely loving this new chapter.
I still have the passion for hair and love to learn new techniques. I feel it is important to keep current, any opportunity to gain knowledge on educational course in there!

Junior Stylist
Hi, I’m Roxanne, a Level 3 qualified hairstylist and Barber, at the start of an exciting career in the hair industry. I trained in both hairdressing and barbering at Truro College, where I discovered my passion for creating beautiful colours, modern styles, men’s cuts.
I love helping my clients feel confident, relaxed, and their very best at every appointment. I’m currently welcoming new clients for all aspects of hairdressing, and now that I’m working full time, I have much more availability.
You’ll find me at Kabuki but I also work from Belsy Hair & Beauty directly opposite the cinema in Redruth. So if you’d like to book in, I’d love to see you in my chair.
I truly feel at home in a salon with my mum being a hairstylist too I have grown up around it.
When I’m not in the salon, you might find me on a beach walk with my two Chihuahuas.
